Middot: Jewish Values

What are Jewish values? Sounds vague sometimes. We hope these materials will help.

Review the different approaches to Jewish values here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jewish_ethics

Want to go further into middot? You will find a list of them here with an expanded universe of learning.

Scroll through the videos on this website: http://elitalks.org/. See if anything interests you.

Homework

Choose a Jewish value that interests you and make a list of five things you can do to live that value. For example: baal tashchit, a Jewish value connected to environmentalism, could be lived by recycling, walking or taking the bus, and donating your clothes to your family instead of throwing them away.
