The Hebrew Bible: Ketuvim (Writings)

The third section of the Hebrew Bible is called ketuvim, writings.

It is like a library of different Jewish stories. For now, we’ll learn two of those stories: the Book of Esther and the Book of Ruth. Why? Because both books are connected to Jewish holidays!

Homework

What do these women have in common? What makes them different? Make a one-page chart with Ruth and Esther at the top on each side, comparing and contrasting the stories.
