Kashrut/Kosher Dietary Laws

The Bible and the rabbis of the Talmud developed a system of Jewish eating called kashrut or kosher. Some people think that means that kosher food is blessed by a rabbi. Not true! Kosher simply means that it is fit to eat, fitting within the rules of Jewish dietary laws.

Homework (Choose One)

What is your approach to eating Jewishly? Write a few short paragraphs describing your personal approach currently, or what you would like to try as your approach to eating Jewishly.

Hey amateur chef! Plan a meal that fits within the kosher dietary laws and make a fancy menu either on your computer or using paper and colored pencils/markers. Share online.
