The Hebrew Bible: Neviim (Prophets)

Neviim is the second part of the Hebrew Bible. It contains the words of prophets, but it also has a lot of Jewish history in it as well.

There is so much to learn about prophets, including all the amazing stories you’ll find in that section of the Bible. But for now, we’ll focus on what a prophet is, and what mattered to them.

Please watch the documentary “Prophets: Soul Catchers” here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZuUZYMCgcyM

Homework

Prophets often spoke out against injustices they saw. Choose a prophet from the video who you found interesting. How do you think they would react to modern injustices? Write a paragraph in their speaking style, talking about the issue you feel they would be reacting to today
