Week 12: The Jewish Prayer Service

We’re so excited to have Rebbetzin teaching this class.

Unlike past units, there is not a lot to read beforehand, but this handout is a good preface for our live learning.

Due to time constraints, we’ll only be able to get through the Friday night Shabbat service, but it will help you feel more comfortable at the service you are most likely to attend, as well as the customs of Kehillah’s Shabbat dinners.

Refer to the siddur we gave you in the first unit, or you can download it again here.

This siddur does not have all the possible songs for Shabbat, but it’s a good enough start.

Update: here is the siddur that more accurately reflects what you’ll learn in the Thursday evening class.
