Kehillah is saddened to announce the death of Chris Vistein, who passed away Friday, March 29th at 62 years young. Details of a memorial and shiva will be announced soon.
Chris served his country in the military (Army) including being stationed in Panama. This led to a long career in food and beverage with several companies. He was a father, brother and good friend to all who knew him, active with Kehillah, the LGBTQ+ community and many, varied friend groups.
Chris and his husband Joseph married in 2019 and became part of our congregation soon after that. Chris met us on a hot summer day in Carytown at the Watermelon Festival, and since then, he has been a huge part of Kehillah, always the first one to show up to volunteer at our events, and the last one to leave to help clean up. He was a blessing in our lives.

Kehillah has organized a fundraiser to support his burial, shiva and any other costs associated with saying goodbye to our dear friend. Please support this fund, as Chris supported us.
Any remaining funds will go to support Kehillah Cares in his memory.
Condolences to Joseph may be sent to: jayembear@gmail.com.
May those who knew Chris be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Yerushalayim.
